Geoff Furniss, CEO TOMRA Fresh Food

"At this year's show, we will have a demo model of our new Cascade Singulator"

At this year's Fruit Attraction in Madrid, TOMRA Food will look to attract cherry growers and packers from around the world with the launch of the new Cascade Singulator for cherry cluster separation.

"At this year's show, we will have a demo model of our new Cascade Singulator at our stand 10E11," explains Geoff Furniss, CEO TOMRA Fresh Food, part of TOMRA Food.

"Our unique methodology is a first for the industry. Quality of separation is just as important as gentle handling, and our Cascade Singulator uses an innovative method which improves cut location."

"There will be several members of the TOMRA Food team on the stand, both for the TOMRA Fresh Food and the TOMRA Processed Food business areas, including the Global Category Director Tomatoes – Roberto Ricci."

The TOMRA team will also be on hand to provide information on all of the company's other technology, including TOMRA Insight, a powerful industry 4.0 data platform for enhancing sorting and grading efficiencies, turning the equipment into connected devices that generate valuable process data.

The potato sorting machine TOMRA 5A brings more than 98% removal rate of foreign objects, quality inspection and peel quality control to the table. Running the highest capacities in the industry, this potato sorter significantly increases the level of food safety, and yield and also the Nimbus BSI+ for IQF vegetable applications works by detecting objects' biometric characteristics and is capable of removing a large number of foreign bodies and unwanted plant matter with minimal false rejection. TOMRA's BSI+ technology brings added value to the frozen vegetable sector, as it achieves what other machines cannot.
