Prices of premium apples from Yuncheng, China remain stable

This week, late red fuji apples from Yuncheng were sold at an average speed, and the average prices of various sizes fell slightly. Due to the abundant market supply this year, there has been a limited number of non-local merchants looking for supplies in this area. They are cautious towards purchasing, and the market is weaker than in previous years. Farmers tend to have a wait-and-see attitude and are willing to put crops into storage.

Currently, the average price of size 75 from Yuncheng in paper bags is 1.56 yuan per half a kilo, down by 0.01 yuan or 0.69% from November 18. The average price of sizes 80 and 85 is 1.80 yuan/half a kilo, which is the same as November 18. The average price of sizes 80 and 85 in filmed paper bags is 1.34 yuan/half a kilo, 0.03 yuan less than November 18 and experiencing a decrease of 2.49%. The average price of sizes 80 and 85 in filmed paper bags is 0.83 yuan/half a kilo, which is 0.08 yuan less than November 18 and experiencing a drop of 9.08%.

Currently, the large-scale search for supplies has come to an end. Farmgate trading in production areas has in general been completed, and products marketed have been switched from fresh apples to stocks. This, combined with seasonal factors, has led to a weaker market. Prices of paper bag covered apples remain stable, while those covered in plastic bags are falling significantly. Thanks to their taste and pricing advantage, apples from Yuncheng have seen hot sales recently on e-commerce platforms, which have become important fruit sales outlets.
