Greenhouse grower to exhibit specialty range at Viva Fresh

Village Farms is ready for Viva Fresh Expo to be held in San Antonio, Texas April 5 -7. The company will have their full line of Texas Grown products on display at their booth number 129. Village Farms will be featuring all of its specialty tomatoes, including Heavenly Villagio Marzano, Cabernet Estate Reserve, Cherry no. 9 Fall in Love Again, True Rebel Mix, Lip Smackn’ Grape and Sinfully Sweet Campari, as well as their newest variety Lorabella Blossom. As a matter of fact Village Farms is the only Texas Grown supplier of tomatoes-on-the-vine, marketed as Delectable TOV, roma tomatoes marketed as Savory Roma’s, and beefsteak tomatoes marketed as Juicy Beefsteaks. Not to mention Village Farms is the only Texas grower of Long English Cucumbers marketed as Luscious Seedless Long English.

Lorabella Blossom, Village Farms’ newest tomato variety, has been selected as a finalist for the inaugural Gateway to Innovation Awards at this year’s Viva Fresh Expo and will be on display in the show’s featured product showcase. Helen L. Aquino, Director of Brand Marketing & Communications for Village Farms, says Lorabella Blossom has a “vibrant orange blissfully bright color with a nutty smooth citrus honey essence.” Part of the famed San Marzano tomato family and “is great for snacking, cooking, grilling and roasting.”
