After having worked for two different Spanish fresh produce companies, Esther Kamphuis has now started at the commercial department of Luis Andujar in Almeria. “We focus on producing, packing and distributing greenhouse vegetables and tomatoes are our core product. In Almeria, the salinity of groundwater is very high, and this results in tomatoes that have a good flavour.”
“We firstly distinguish ourselves by supplying a fresh product with a distinctive flavour and quality, but also because of our sustainable approach. Our greenhouses have been equipped with the latest technologies. Luis Andujar was the first Spanish grower using cogeneration.”
“Over the years, we’ve become specialised in cherry vine tomatoes, cocktail tomatoes, plum tomatoes, sweet pointed peppers and regular bell peppers. For all of our products, we focus on the varieties that have the highest scores in the fields of sustainability, presentation and, most importantly, flavour,” Esther says.
