The Xiamen Entry-Exit Inspection And Quarantine Bureau has reported that since 2017, Xiamen Port has imported 17,800 tons of longan worth 26,500,000 US dollars. That represents an annual increase of 143% in longan volume and 107% in it's value. It constitutes 36% of all national longan imports. Xiamen port became the leader of longan import in China. Most of it is from Thailand. Thai longans have exploded onto the market because they are juicy and the quality is great.
