The ADEG market Kogler in Grafendorf, Austria, was subjected to an intensive renovation that lasted one week, before it was reopened on friday the 27th October. "It was odd that our market was closed for an entire week, but it was an exciting time during which we and our customers were impatiently waiting for the reopening," Franz Kogler jr. said. The result of the renovation is great to see. From the interior design with cash register and specialty dish counter, to the rearrangement of the shelves, to the switch to environmentally friendly LED lighting. Everything has been improved.
"In our market, both the inner and outer values count," the ADEG businessman says lightheartedly. Amongst the inner values, are the large selection of products from suppliers in the region and a broad assortment with strong house brands such as "Ja! Natürlich" and "clever®".

Successful thanks to businessman gene
For the 39 year old businessman, Franz Kogler jr, his career as a businessman came early, as he started learning in an ADEG market that was run by the family. He entered the family business 24 years ago and then became a merchant due to his feeling for products, quality and the needs of customers. Now, he has been running the family business together with his father for 14 years. "Talent for business is obviously a family trait," says Franz Kogler jr. with a smile. "Consistency, a strong connection with the region and a commitment to the Styrian local supply are what distinguish the Kogler businessmen from others. We wish them good luck with their markets," says ADEG CEO Alexandra Draxler-Zima.
The philosophy behind their success
"The quality of the products and the quantity in the assortment make a good local supply." That is what the businessmen are convinced of. "Customers like being able to choose from a large assortment. We often suprise them with specialties that they would want, but possibly had not expected at all," Franz Kogler sr. says.
The ADEG businessmen are very passionate about their job and very confident about the future: "If we keep developing, stay modern and focus on the needs of customers, I see many opportunities for our small company in the future in the regional local supply business. We will guarantee a shopping experience at eye level and build upon the trust that our customers have in us as merchants."
