New VICENTIN individually-packed melons for Christmas

Coinciding with the Christmas holidays, the company Vicente Peris has launched a new format under its VICENTIN brand intended for Piel de Sapo melons. It is an individual cardboard case presented as a culinary gift for all melon lovers, as well as a new business opportunity for fruit vendors in their stores.

"We used to offer wooden containers during this period, selling them at relatively high prices. With cardboard we have found an alternative that is not just much cheaper, but also more versatile as regards the printing and imaging possibilities," explains Alberto Montaña, commercial director at Vicente Peris.

"Right now it is the off-season, so VICENTIN melons are more expensive, given that they come from Brazil. This is also a reason why our fans are being offered a special container," he explains.

Alberto Montaña reveals that, even though it has been launched as a promotion, the idea has surprisingly been welcomed by many fruit store owners, who have reported their interest in having access to the format to be able it sell it all year round. "It's an opportunity for any consumers looking for something to give away as a present. In the same way that there are special cases for good wines, this unique VICENTIN label will make melons a good present."
