Direct connection Guadalajara to Zhengzhou to open Spring 2015

Mexico to launch air freight to China

In the first quarter of 2016, an air freight connection between China and Mexico will be put to use. It will connect the Mexican city of Guadalajara with Zhengzhou in Henan province. The line will be used to ship fresh products between China and Mexico.

The connection will facilitate strategic business relationships between the two countries and expand cooperation. It is expected that next year the value of fresh produce exported from Mexico to China will double.

The planned cargo freight flight from Guadalajara to Zhengzhou will fly three times per week. Each flight is able to carry 120 tons of freight with an estimated value of around $ 600,000. Transported products will be high-value products, such as seasonal fruits and frozen beef.

Trade between Mexico and China is expected to succeed 180 million USD in 2015. This is 25% more than in 2014. Trade is expected to reach 400 million USD in 2016.
