Peru: AGAP to have exports worth 2,100 million this year

The Association of Agricultural Producer Unions, AGAP, celebrates 12 years leading Peru's Modern Agriculture.

AGAP is a promoter of modern agriculture in the country and a great promoter of non-traditional agricultural exports, particularly of fruit and vegetables.

At the end of this year's third quarter, AGAP will have achieved 1.344 million dollars in revenue, i.e. 8% more than in the same period last year.

By the end of 2015 agricultural exports will amount to $100 million dollars, almost 10 times more than the $220 million dollars achieved in 2003, the year in which AGAP was created.

During these 12 years, AGAP and its unions have strengthened trade promotion and the presence of Peruvian fruits and vegetables in international markets through conferences, trade shows, and trade missions conducted with PROMPERU and MINCETUR.

It should be noted that their participation in 3 fairs, (Berlin and Hong Kong's Fruit Logistica, and the PMA in the US) allowed Peru to achieve business worth nearly $500 million dollars in 2015.
