He noted that the improvement of trade relations between the presidents of Mexico and China, Enrique Peña Nieto and Xi Jinping, had led to a nearly 25 percent increase in Mexican food exports to China this year.
He also highlighted the benefits for dairy producers that the signing of health protocols to export these products will have, as they will be able to sell their goods more profitably.
Mexico seeks to export plantain to China
As part of the Secretary of Agriculture's visit to China, Mexico seeks to boost exports of plantain, which has marketing conditions and competitiveness in that market.
On the last day of activities of his working trip to China, the Secretary of Agriculture announced that Mexican producers would be visiting various agri-food companies in Shanghai that were interested in importing goods to China.
