Chilean cherries transported directly to China by air

Chile is China's second largest supplier of imported fruits. Last year, Chile's cherry exports to China accounted for 80% of Chile's total cherry output. The consumer demand for Chilean cherries has continuously increased, just as Eastern Airlines increased the number of direct charter flights to introduce Chilean cherries.

On November 14, it was the first time Chilean cherries were transported by a charter plane and a team of Eastern Airlines rooted in Santiago. As of December 2, seven flights have been carried out by B747-400 all-cargo aircraft chartered transport. More than 800 tons of fresh Chilean cherries will soon be transported to the dining tables of Chinese consumers. Followed up by the arrival of 10 charter flights in Shanghai.
With the opening of air transport for cherries by Eastern Airlines, a total of 2000 tons of cherries will arrive in China.
