Spain: Exceptional use of dichloropropene and chloropicrin authorised

The Directorate General of Health of the Agricultural Production, institution under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (MAGRAMA), has decided to approve an exceptional 120 day authorisation for the sale of plant protection products formulated with 1.3-dichloropropene, chloropicrin and combinations thereof to disinfect the bare soil prior to the transplant of raspberries and blueberries.

The approved formulations, as well as in their conditions of use, are described in the Annex to the Resolution. The marketing authorisation will be in force between 18 November 2015 and 16 March, 2016.

Vines
The Annex to the Exceptional Authorisation Resolution of 14 October 2015 has also been modified to allow the marketing and use of plant protection products formulated with 1.3-dichloropropene 107% w/v [EC], 112% w/v [EC], 116% w/v [AL] and 118% w/v [AL] for the disinfection of bare soils and to tackle nematicides after and before the planting of vines. The marketing authorisation and use will be valid between 15 October 2015 and 10 February 2016.
