Vietnam seeks Dutch companies for horti project

The Prime Minister of Vietnam has approved the construction of a high-tech Agro-center in Thanh Hoa province. The center will be built by Lam Son Group and will focus on high quality, safe crops (both open field and greenhouse crops) by using the latest technology and the commitment of thousands of local farmers.

On November 12th deputy ambassador Cas van der Horst and Arie Veldhuizen, responsible for agricultural policy, received a delegation, which included Mr Le Van Tam, President of the Lam Son Group, and representatives from the authorities to see how Dutch entrepreneurs could contribute to this project.

"The Netherlands is a small country but thanks to innovation they are number two in terms of exporting agricultural products. That is why we are looking to work with them," says President Le Van Tam. Through the embassy the company is looking for Dutch partners to work with along the entire chain, from pre-harvest and post-harvest, to planting and storage, and processing and marketing.

Those interested can contact the embassy via han-lnv@minbuza.nl
