PMA Fruittrade photoreport

Last week, 11 and 12 November, the second edition PMA Fruittrade took place in Santiago, Chile. The event offered visitors an event with 125 exhibitors, a round table area and as well as two auditoriums with 55 speakers in total. The official numbers have been published yet, but reactions from exhibitors are positive, presentations were well attended and PMA organisation was also positive.

This edition has already grown compared to last year's edition. PMA expects to grow more in the coming years. Cathy Burns, president of PMA, explained that Chile is an important market and is there is still a lot of potential.

This year Peru was a part of the event with a large Peruvian booth and presentations during the second day. It is thought that the participation of other countries will also increase in the coming years.
For foreign companies, for example LBP Rotterdam (The Netherlands), this is the opportunity to meet many people and companies that they already work with. However, there are still many Chilean exporters who aren't coming to the exhibition. Several exhibitors explained that they were satisfied with how the exhibition went, but that this is a part where the exhibition can be improved.

On the other hand, there is Paksense from the United States. Gerd Uitdewilligen is very enthusiastic about the exhibition. Before the exhibition officially opened the first day, visitors and some other exhibitors were at his stand.

The next edition will be 9-10 November 2016.
