Sicilian orchards of Altieri Giacomo & Son

Citrus sanitary protocol Italy / China

Experts from the Chinese Academy of Inspection and Quarantine CAIQ and from the Sicilian Plant Protection Service visited the citrus orchards of the company Altieri Giacomo & Son and their processing and packaging line in the territory of Mineo and Palagonia (Eastern Sicily), last act of the approval process of the Citrus Sanitary Protocol between Italy and China.

The monitoring program carried out under the control of the Regional Phytosanitary Service, in compliance with the just approved Citrus Sanitary Protocol Italy / China, will enable the Altieri's company, first one of this pilot program, to start with the shipments of Sicilian citrus fruits to China, thus expanding the trade actions and shipments of their Sicilian citrus fruits, already developed with success in the last few years for the Far East.
