Spanish Intense tomato season started

For the fifth year in a row, P. Zuijderwijk Import has begun importing Spanish Intense tomatoes. These Nunhems plum tomatoes have a higher density than other tomatoes, without losing its shape or juice. The importer sells the tomatoes under the Roxy brand.

"An acreage of 40-50 hectares fewer Intense tomatoes is expected to enter the market, and the volume of plum tomatoes from Spain is also lower, so the forecasts are good," says Paul Zuijderwijk.

On Monday, the first Spanish Intense tomatoes arrive at P. Zuijderwijk. Supplies will start slowly, and increase within a few weeks. The importer markets an acreage of around 6.5 hectares, and offers the Intense tomatoes in sizes M, MP and MM. It's possible to sign contracts until the end of April.
