Camposol promoting responsible growth in blueberries
The new positions will be created in the following areas, among others: Cranberry harvest in the Chao / Virú area, irrigation maintenance technicians, irrigation installation operators, and qualified operators (automation technicians) for the new packing plant for blueberries.
The blueberries project also offers new opportunities for the current Camposol team members. For example, with the increase in cultivation of this crop, many blueberry harvesters were promoted to supervisory level, who today lead groups and manage their own teams. We have interviewed two of them:
Gilmer Ramos Segura: "With the support of Camposol I have been able to grow as a worker and as a person, assuming new responsibilities in the cultivation of blueberries, which will allow for more Peruvians to work and be provided with opportunities for growth. I currently serve as a Blueberry Harvest Supervisor and I'm proud to be part of Camposol.”
Vanessa Cabrera Tocas: "I am a Blueberry Harvest Supervisor and with this new harvest we will have more opportunities to develop. Camposol rewards all the effort that one makes every day, and they are concerned with our being able to grow as individuals, training us and giving us all the tools that we need in order to achieve our goals."
As part of this growth process, Camposol commits to its responsibility and contributes to the sustainable development of the communities in which they operate. Camposol provides childcare services, summer courses and medical campaigns for the employees’ children, amongst other social welfare activities. Additionally, Camposol encourages local entrepreneurship through sustainable projects and is currently developing a major housing project in order to provide their employees access to decent and safe housing.
