DMA shares fresh produce story on National stage
An industry marketer sharing the fresh produce story is on a mission to propel demand for fresh fruits and vegetables on a national stage. Over the past two months, CEO and president of DMA Solutions, Inc., Dan’l Mackey Almy, was invited to speak with audiences at marketing and business related events outside of the industry in an effort to share our story and glean advice relative to elevating fresh produce in the food marketing space.
Almy believes that food marketing, historically dominated by processed foods, has contributed to many of the health related issues Americans face today. At the same time, consumers are becoming more aware of the impact of their food choices and are seeking healthy information and inspiration online. This provides a significant opportunity for the fresh produce industry to take a seat at the “food marketing table” and propel the demand for fresh fruit and vegetables.
In September, Almy presented at INBOUND 2014, a marketing conference held in Boston, MA with 10,000 marketers in attendance. Last week, she joined renowned leaders Dave Ramsey, Gary Vaynerchuk and Seth Godin on stage during the Business Gets Personal Conference in New York, NY where Almy gained direct advice from these well-known business leaders in front of a live audience on the topic of “how to better reach consumers” with our collective marketing efforts surrounding the promotion of fresh fruits and vegetables.
“It’s an honor to have the opportunity to share the fresh produce story with audiences of consumers, marketers, influencers and business leaders,” said Almy. “I believe that fresh produce plays a critical role in how food marketing will transform in the coming years, particularly as we address the consumer’s growing need for healthier food options coupled with their desire to have a deeper, more meaningful connection with a product’s story. My goal is not only to shine a spotlight on the people that grow fresh fruits and vegetables, but also to establish connections with business leaders that I believe can help elevate our marketing efforts at an accelerated rate.”
DMA Solutions will bring their revelations for fresh produce marketers who want to elevate their company’s digital marketing efforts to the annual PMA Fresh Summit Conference & Exposition in Anaheim, CA. Mackey Almy along with DMA team members, Megan Zweig and Mackenzie Michel, will present on October 18th at 8:45 a.m. Attendees can expect to hear more about how to be competitive in the digital age and gain insights on how fresh produce can reach new heights in the food marketing space.
