Spain: decreased export fruit and vegetables in July 2014

According to Spanish federation of fruit and vegetable growers Fepex, Spain exported 877,910 tonnes of fruit and vegetables in July of this year, with a value of 652 million Euro, German website Fruchthandel.de reports.

Although the export quantity went up by 16% compared to the same month last year, the export value decreased by 2%. Of the entire fruit and vegetable export, 679,753 tonnes consisted of fruit (+13%) with a total export value of 504.2 million Euro (-5%), and 198,157 tonnes of vegetables (+29%) with a total export value of 147.7 million Euro (+10%).
