It is worth noting that the NMB expects 9 million boxes of Peruvian mangoes to be exported to the US until March next year, especially of the Kent variety with 90% of the total, followed by the Haden (5%), Tommy Atkins (4%) and Ataulfo (1%).
In this context, Apem's executive pointed out that the growth of exports is a consequence of the good relationship between Peru's National Agricultural Health Service and the US Department of Agriculture, due to the good handling of safety regulations and agricultural practices, "which has allowed for the standardisation of crops and for good expectations for each campaign to be maintained."
