Argentina: Higher peach production anticipated

According to a prognosis by the Fundación Instituto Desarrollo Rural (IDR), Argentina’s Rural Development Institute, peach production in the Mendoza province may see an increase of 166,183 tons in the coming season.

The prospected numbers show a 6.5% growth compared to last year, when 156.022 tons was realised. “The peach industry is of major importance to the Mendoza district,” says the institute, “as the country’s complete production takes place there.”
