Tomatoes prevent depression

Tomatoes can decrease the risk of depression by half. This as announced by the German newspaper 'Wochenblatt' on its website. Researchers of the Chinese Tianjin Medical University have come to this conclusion. The scientists researched the mental health and eating pattern of about 1,000 men and women from age 70, as in this age group the danger of depression is higher.

Those eating tomatoes from two to six times a week had a 46 percent smaller chance of being hit by depression than those eating tomatoes less than once a week.
Tomatoes are rich in anti-oxidants, which can also protect against many other sicknesses.
