Colombia: First Global Gap-certified mangosteen producer

Agropiscícola Carolina Caro y Cía., a leader in mangosteen production in Colombia with its brand Natturale, has become the first firm in the sector to obtain a Global Gap certification for its crops.

Colombia is a relevant mangosteen producer in South America; its harvest takes place between December and February, with another smaller harvest between June and August. Natturale is Colombia's main mangosteen provider through all major retailers.

Colombian mangosteen is widely accepted in the European market. Natturale takes part in the CBI export coaching program and will attend Fruit Logistica Fair 2013 in Berlin.
