UK: Escort Data Loggers prove to be popular temperature monitoring equipment

How do you make sure the fruit you send or receive is kept at the right temperatures? This is a common issue for perishable exporters and importers! Many already use some form of temperature monitoring but is the current method sufficient?

"It would seem not as we are approached daily by companies using other forms of temperature monitoring equipment who are looking for something… a bit more 21st century and that’s where Escort comes in," said Tom Harrington of Fairbridge Technologies."

Fairbridge Technologies have been distributing Escort’s range of temperature and humidity loggers for the last 2 years. Since taking on the range Fairbridge have seen a large number of companies around the world switching to Escort’s iMini range of temperature loggers for monitoring their shipments.

Escort’s iMini is now accompanying potatoes and potato seeds from Europe, apples from Italy, citrus, grapes and stone fruits from South Africa and a whole host of other fresh produce from every continent. Escort’s range of products can monitor Frozen, chilled and ambient supply chains as well as storage facilities.

In the last few months nearly 1000 units have been sold to fresh produce exporters, all of which have switched from chart type recorders as well as newer, digital technology. It seems Escort’s iMini range is being chosen simply for the following reasons;

• Cost Effective
• Easy to use
• Simple yet smart
• Fast delivery (typically just 3-5 days)
• Provided pre-programmed to customer specification (high/low temp limits, trip length, time zone and more)
• Free Software available in several languages

"With offices in the UK and South Africa Fairbridge Technologies services companies from all over the world, from New Zealand to Argentina. We have had fantastic feedback from all of the companies who have switched to Escort’s products, for different reasons as some prefer the simplicity and others prefer the detailed records the loggers produce, especially when it comes to fighting a claim," explains Tom.
