The fruit juice train...

CSX's 'Juice Train', which goes five times a week, transports 550,000 gallons of Topicana orange juice, which is 2.5 million liters. The 'Juice Train' has 41 cooling wagons, and is almost 800 meters long. The diesel-electrical locs have a 12 cylinder power source with an output of 4,400 horse power. There are 3,700 of these machines on the rails in ten countries.

This video was recorded in 'time lapse' so that people can get a good idea of how the cargo train goes by rail in the US. What is striking that many of these trains run on single rails. As in Europe, the average speed is low: the distance of 1,221 miles or 1,963 km is done in 47.8 hours, which is an average speed of 41.1 km per hour. The driving staff is switched five times.
