First Red Star tomatoes in Ultra Clima greenhouse

Today, in the first Ultra Clima greenhouse in the world with growth lighting, the first Red Star Romantic tomato plants were planted by the De Kaaij Group. In the modern greenhouse in Dinteloord, developed by Kubo, the Red Star tomatoes will be grown in a better and more sustainable way. The CO2 emission will be lowered drastically, as will the use of energy. A natural cultivation emphasizes the great quality of the cultivation, which takes place all year round.

A toast for success for the Kaaij Group

On the 17th of July the first panes were put on the 10 hectare greenhouse and today, the 22nd of October, the first tomato plants have been planted. This date was set form the start and was achieved by good planning and perfect teamwork.

There is also a huge air vent in the middle of the facade, and pressure and insect screens are used to keep insects out. The greenhouse also has a dry climate, which improves the hygiene in the greenhouse.
