Spain: Pamplona to host a fresh produce promotional campaign

On 15 November, Pamplona will host the third edition of the European promotional campaign for quality-labelled fresh produce with a day filled with gastronomic activities.

According to the Association for the Promotion and Support of Food Quality and Safety (Prodecasa), promoter of the campaign, the promotion will focus on the Protected Designations of Origin (PDO) "Asparagus from Navarra", "Artichoke from Tudela" and "Piquillo pepper from Lodosa."

The initiative is part of the promotional campaign developed jointly with other French PDO's, and is co-funded by the European Union and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment.

The French PDO's taking part are "Asparagus from Landes", "Strawberry from PĂ©rigord", "Kiwi from l'Adour" and table grape "Muscat du Mont Ventoux".

The day's program will include a tour on Pamplona's tourist train, a reception at "Casa Gurbindo" and a culinary demonstration by several chefs, who will present recipes including some of the above products.
