This season 250 HA Canary Islands tomatoes and cucumbers

Import season Fortuna Frutos starting



Tomato specialist Fortuna Frutos have started the import season 2012-2013 this week. The first containers arrived at Opticool Logistics in Rotterdam and the quality of the tomatoes was said to be second to none. The first 3 weeks of the season the tomatoes will arrive by container and/or by lorries in Rotterdam and from week 45 two vessels will arrive in Rotterdam each week.

The total area of the Fortuna Group on the Canary Islands is 250 HA and the products (tomatoes and cucumbers) are only sold by Fortuna Frutos.



Apart from the imports from the Canary Islands the sales office of Fortuna Frutos in Barendrecht is also working closely together with two suppliers in Murcia and Almeria, where tomatoes on the vine, plum tomatoes and also round tomatoes are packed under fixed hallmarks.
