"Netherlands: "Supply of mushrooms a little lower; prices above average"

The sale of mushrooms is at a good level at the moment. This is according to Johan van Namen of the mushroom grower and wholesaler of the same name from Hoenzadriel, the Netherlands. "The demand is coming from everywhere and the prices are above average, for white mushrooms as well as for the special varieties."

According to Johan the supply of mushrooms isn't that big. "I think we have about 5 to 10% less supply. I'm positive about the progress of the market. We're in October already and in the autumn consumers cook more."
