HEPRO introduces new asparagus peeler

Due to of the rising demand for peeled asparagus as a convenience product, HEPRO GmbH, Germany has produced a small industrial peeling machine, which could offer the perfectly peeled result just as the the big industrial peeling machines do, The machine is type HSM 6000 and HSM 9000.

The machine peels asparagus using the technology of industrial peeling with reduced peeling waste and an increased capacity from the standard peeling machine HSM 180, to nearly 3600 pieces per hour with only 2 operators. The HSM 3000 peels the asparagus in 2 peeling lines. A special curved path controls the consistent picking up and placing down of the asparagus. The asparagus are taken and transported through the machine by support of an air fed silicon cushion.

During the asparagus season 2012 some of the new HSM 3000 were used with good results. The HSM 3000 is aimed at growers with 5 - 15 ha who need more capacity than the standard peeling machine, HSM 180 offers, but less than the industrial peeling machine, HSM 6000 / HSM 9000.

At the moment more than 100 industrial peeling machines of the type HSM 6000 / HSM 9000 are working worldwide.
