Dutch fruit trader murdered in Mexico
Dutch fresh produce trader Andres Reijgersberg has been murdered in Mexico. The family has confirmed this. Reijgersberg was a share holder of the company AC Reijgersberg in Poeldijk, the Netherlands, and started the Mexican adventure in November 2010, when he dedicated himself to the export of Mexican vegetables to the US and fruit to Europe. In recent years, he was mostly active in limes, mangoes and bananas. He also performed as a DJ.
“A few months ago, he was in the Netherlands, and told me trade was starting to pick up,” his uncle Dolf Reijgersberg says. He remembers his nephew as a “cheerful, sociable boy who enjoyed adventures.”
Andres Reijgersberg was 44 years old.
