100 kilos of cocaine found among vegetables at Bilbao's port
The Ertzaintza (the Basque Country's regional police) seized 100 kilos of very pure cocaine at Bilbao's port which were hidden within a container that contained agricultural products. The drug was found almost two weeks ago when unloading operators spotted some strange suitcases among the boxes of fresh produce.

Police agents found that the suitcases were filled with numerous packets wrapped in cellophane that contained a white-coloured substance. A team from the scientific police examined the substance, determined that it was indeed cocaine and proceeded to seize it. The stash consisted of rectangular packets, with a total approximate weight of 100 kilos.
The cocaine, of great purity, could have reached a value in the black market of over 10 million Euro. Agents from the General Criminal Investigation Unit (UICG) traced the origin of the shipment to a Peruvian port. The Ertzaintza continues its investigation to identify anyone who may be involved.
