Post-harvest Technology course 2019

One-third of all harvested crops is lost during storage and distribution; often because of mismanagement and lack of knowledge of physiological processes that occur in plant products. Increasing globalization requires long-term transport and the demand for high quality products stresses the need for innovative and sustainable post-harvest technologies. Prevention of post-harvest losses is of major importance for global food and nutritional security.
