Mango supply from Ecuador is good right now. "It's going to ramp up a little bit more here in the next couple of weeks," says Jesse Garcia of Crystal Valley West, adding that the country is largely shipping the Tommy Atkins variety of mango as well as some Kent and Ataulfo. "Ecuador is pretty pretty normal in terms of supply at this point."
Sizing did start small out of Ecuador but has since sized up and now good supply is coming in on size 8s and 9s.
Meanwhile, Peru will also start with its production soon as well. It's anticipated that shipments from Peru will start off slow as they generally do and then will ramp up significantly towards the end of the year. "So December and into January, we should have pretty decent supply," adds Garcia.

Peru sizing on mangoes
Peru is expected to bring in size 10s as well as good supply of 7s, 8s and 9s.
As for demand, it has been good, particularly on the larger sizes. On the smaller sizes, retailers have been promoting size 10 and 12 fruit which has helped movement.
In terms of pricing, the market has been fairly steady in pricing. "It has come off a bit, but it is still pretty good pricing," says Garcia, adding that pricing, which this year is incorporating U.S. tariffs as well, is slightly higher. "The market will decrease on pricing here in the next couple weeks but I don't see it getting really really cheap."
