Lo Casto Srl is a team of experienced professionals specializing in commercial, logistical, and administrative services. The company's primary services include a thorough selection process that evaluates economic and financial stability, establishes a customer base, and verifies suppliers' insurance coverage. Lo Casto relies on specialized agencies, credit institutions, and other companies operating in the sector for these evaluations.
Lo Casto also has collaborators in Alicante, Spain; Perpignan, France; and Vittoria, Sicily. The Alicante collaborator frequently visits suppliers and seeks new ones. The Perpignan collaborator is responsible for rigorous quality control of fruits and vegetables leaving the market. The Vittoria team member is responsible for purchasing and quality control.
Lo Casto handles a wide range of products, including peppers, tomatoes, courgettes, oranges, lemons, melons, watermelons, brassicas, pineapples, kumquats, and tropical fruits. These products originate from Spain, Morocco, Belgium, Brazil, Costa Rica, Peru, Mexico, and Italy.
"Over the years, we have built a solid supply network consisting of French, Spanish, and Italian cooperatives, wholesalers, small- and medium-sized producers, and specialized auctions. This network ensures high quality, adequate supply, fair prices, and prompt delivery," emphasizes Stefano Lo Casto. "We don't just sell fruit and vegetables. We listen to our customers' needs, which may include customized packaging, specific processing, certifications, or particular organoleptic characteristics. Every delivery is tailor-made."
The company has a diverse and well-established customer base that includes catering companies, hotels, commercial facilities, and suppliers in the shipping industry. There are also companies that specialize in product processing and large-scale distribution, as well as logistics platforms and discount stores. Fruit and vegetable market operators are also included and account for around 40% of the company's turnover. These operators have active markets from Trieste to Rome.
The company closed 2024 with record-breaking figures. A total of 17,750 tons of products were sold, generating nearly €15 million in revenue. "We are proud of these results, which reflect the hard work and dedication of our team. However, these results are not an endpoint, but rather a motivation to improve further, refine existing operations, and stay ahead in an increasingly complex and fast-paced market," said Stefano Lo Casto.
