"We currently supply our carrots to about 23 of the 27 EU countries. It is a very good year in terms of quantity and quality, and we are expecting a very positive response from the markets, thanks also to the solid reputation we have built up over the years," says Cinzia Scivoletto, Senior Sales at Natura Iblea, an Italian company specializing in the production of organic and Demeter early carrots, who continues: "Our carrot export season will end in the 28th week, between the first and second ten days of July, with the last truckloads going to Norway."

Cinzia Scivoletto, announcing the start of shipments of organic and biodynamic early carrots to Northern Europe, adds: "The first full truckloads of carrots, packed in 1 kg bags, have already arrived in German and Austrian supermarkets and have met with immediate consumer approval. We are encouraged by the feedback we receive from our retailers with each shipment. On the other hand, it is essential to know what makes a product attractive to ensure a fruitful cooperation," says the managing director.
Our carrots have reached 9 degrees Brix this year, with a distinct sweetness and a unique crunchiness," the manager continues. We have also seen the first full truckloads of big-bagged carrots arrive at packing plants in Germany, the Netherlands, and Denmark. Production waste is now less than 3 percent, so we are talking about very high-quality carrots. We are therefore very satisfied with the start of this export campaign.
"The season is just beginning, and yet the quantities of exported carrots do not exceed 200 tons per week," explains the expert, "but from week 18 we will increase to 600 tons per week. Reputation is everything in this business, as has already been mentioned, and indeed more and more supermarket chains and packaging companies in Northern Europe are happy to work with Natura Iblea. We have an excellent product, and communication is always fast and dynamic, also because we all speak at least three foreign languages; for us, communication in German, English, French, or Spanish is the norm."
