Banana prices UK week 15:

Banana prices mostly stable with slight drop in Panama

Banana prices from most major suppliers remained stable this week, with no changes reported for countries such as Belize, Cameroon, Colombia, and Costa Rica. For example, the average price of bananas from Belize held steady at £1.05, matching last week's average. Similarly, Cameroon's bananas maintained an average of £0.97, and prices from Colombia and Costa Rica were not updated, indicating no significant movement.

Notably, Panama and the overall Dollar group saw modest price declines. Panama's average price dropped from £1.05 to £0.99, representing a 5% decrease. Across all Dollar sources, the average price fell from £0.99 to £0.96, a 3% decline. The ACP group experienced a similar reduction of 3%, also shifting from £0.99 to £0.96. These slight decreases contributed to the overall category average slipping by 3% to £0.96.
