Charles Hall, the founder and former CEO of Association Services Group, LLC, based in LaGrange, passed away at 74. Hall's career was marked by his dedication to the agriculture sector and his role in founding trade associations, notably within the high-tech greenhouse industry.
Under Hall's leadership, ASG, established in 1995, quickly made a name for itself in the association management industry. One of Hall's early achievements was bringing the Georgia Fruit and Vegetable Association (GFVGA) under ASG's wing, aiming to elevate it as the definitive voice of Georgia's produce sector. Hall's efforts bore fruit, with GFVGA now hosting a leading regional trade show and fostering a generation of leadership aimed at advancing the industry and enhancing opportunities for growers.
Throughout his career, Hall was honored with several awards for his contributions to the industry and association leadership, including the Clifford Clark Award from the Georgia Society of Association Executives in 2011, recognition in 'The Packer 25' in 2018, the Glenn Bostrom Award from the Association Management Company Institute in 2019, and the "Friend of the County Agent" Award from the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Agent Association in 2022.
Hall's impact extended beyond his professional achievements, touching the lives of many as a mentor, friend, and family man. He is survived by his wife Jan, their two children, and six grandchildren. A visitation and celebration of life service are scheduled in LaGrange, GA, with contributions in his memory directed to the First Baptist Church on the Square.
