According to Frutas de Chile's Blueberry Committee's latest Crop Report, Chile exported 11,767 tons of blueberries in the second week of 2025, bringing the total for the 2024-2025 season to 55,946 tons. This is 7% more than in the same week of the 2023-2024 season, but 18% less than in the 2022-2023 season.
These shipments are in line with the Blueberry Committee's estimate for the period, showing only a 2% difference from the forecast.
The distribution by variety remained unchanged. In week 2, Group 1 (recommended and new varieties) accounted for 81% of exports. The main varieties exported were Legacy (45% of the total so far), Duke (14%) and Blue Ribbon (12%).
The destination markets' share remained as in the previous weeks. Europe remains the largest buyer, accounting for 41% of Chilean exports. The United States follows with a share of 35%. South Korea and the United Kingdom rank third and fourth, with 8% and 7%, respectively.
Organic blueberry exports also peaked in week 2 with 1,855 tons, bringing the total for the 2024-2025 season to 6,759 tons, accounting for 12% of total Chilean blueberry exports.
