Nepal imports onions from China

Nepal has started importing onions from China after India banned the export of onions. India, the main market of onion import in Nepal, banned onion exports on December 7. The Nepal Agricultural Produce and Potato, Onion Import Export and Wholesalers Association has started the process of importing onions from China after the ban on onion exports from India.

The general secretary of the association said that the import for Nepal has started from Kerung, China, and the first batch of 100 tons of onions is on its way.
