Over 85,000 tons of imported vegetables and fruits undergo inspection in temporary storage warehouses in North Ossetia

In the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, the North Caucasus Interregional Department of the Rosselkhoznadzor has conducted inspections of more than 85,000 tons of imported horticultural products at the temporary storage warehouse "Southern Gate" over the first ten months of 2023.

Throughout the year, over 44,000 tons of fruits and vegetables, including nectarines, apples, peaches, plums, mandarins, blueberries, tomatoes, potatoes, and green crops, were received from Georgia.

Additionally, 1,513 tons of vegetables and fruits, such as cherries, nectarines, peaches, grapes, cabbage, and tomatoes, were imported from Turkey.

The inspection also covered 66.9 tons of onion from Uzbekistan, 19 tons of sweet cherries and 19.4 tons of pears from Azerbaijan.
