Today, on the International Day of Awareness on Food Loss and Waste Reduction, Halls is proud to announce its acquisition of a stake in the French start-up Infuseo.
Created in 2020, Infuseo has become known for its vision for healthy, environmentally friendly food. This is embodied in its new product range “Naked Avocado”: Fresh, prepared avocados, ripe and ready to eat with a shelf life of more than 30 days, free of preservatives.
Proudly boasting the tagline "Nothing to Hide, Nothing to Waste!", Naked Avocado captures an ethos of transparency and sustainability. Made in France, Naked Avocado offers 100% fresh avocado, devoid of any preservatives, acidifiers, or additives, presented in clear packaging, so what you see really is what you get.
Recent studies indicate that a disturbing 34% of all avocados purchased by consumers, chefs, and caterers end up in the bin. Furthermore, an untold number of potential customers are discouraged from purchasing avocados due to past unsatisfactory experiences and an alarming 5-15% of avocados are discarded daily across major retail and foodservice channels, contributing to the global food waste crisis, highlighted by the United Nations, which estimates nearly half of the fruits and vegetables produced worldwide are thrown away each year.
This is why Halls, with their unwavering commitment to sustainability and passion for the avocado, has embarked on a mission to reshape the narrative and are proud to partner with Infuseo.
Halls supply avocado sourced from its global Responsibly Sourced Network and ripen the fruit in France. Infuseo’s dedicated team of experts then prepare the fruit and apply High Pressure Processing (HPP) Technology is to produce fresh, ripe and ready to eat avocado with one month refrigerated shelf life.

The Naked Avocado range will be presented to the trade at Fruit Attraction, Madrid on the Halls stand in Hall 8 Stand A12.
