Sakata, targetting consumers with its new products for Fruit Attraction

Time, color and flavor are the three defining points of the new varieties

"A solar system where time has no limits? Pallets of vegetables with multiple colors? A trip to Japan to discover their flavors? Sakata will be attending Fruit Attraction, aiming to surprise everyone through the senses with its latest innovations in plant breeding. Under the slogan 'Seeds to feed your needs', the mission of the Japanese multinational seed company is clear: producing seeds that meet the needs of every link in the chain, from the producers to the consumers."

"With this commitment in mind, Sakata will be attending Fruit Attraction to showcase varieties aimed at meeting the needs of different market segments, based on three basic concepts: time, color and flavor. Growers will have the chance to discover the new varieties of Butternut and Piel de Sapo melons, which are making it possible to have enough supply all 12 months of the year.

Flavor quality is another of the cornerstones of their research, and, therefore, the fair will serve as a stage to present the new varieties of oriental tomatoes, with a genuine flavor of Sakata's genetics. Another of the company's strengths is the development of color, especially in brassicas. This year, besides the already popular purple Purple Magic broccoli, the firm will be launching the Tyrian, a branched broccoli variety with the same color."

"Sakata, which will have its stand in Almeria's Hall 9, will be showcasing the latest developments designed by and for this market. Worthy of note are four new varieties of peppers covering the entire cycle and a new zucchini for early planting that promises to revolutionize the market with profitability for the producers and resistance to the New Delhi virus."
