Xavi Nolla, on the integration of V-Ros into Iberian Premium Fruits to add more than 1,100 hectares of production

“With V-Ros we incorporate one of the best producers of leaf mandarins”

Recently, the Iberian Premium Fruits group reached an agreement with the shareholders of V-Ros, the well-known company that specializes in clementines with leaves, to incorporate the company into the group with the aim of becoming the largest European leader in the production and distribution of premium oranges and mandarins, as well as other high added value products.

"With V-Ros, we integrate one of the top three producers and distributors of mandarins and clementines with leaves," Xavi Nolla, the general manager of Iberian Premium Fruits, stressed.

"Until now, we haven't had a lot of citrus production with leaves, but thanks to V- Ros, we will expand into a segment that fits perfectly within our portfolio, our philosophy, and our way of working,” he added.

Iberian Premium Fruits was created in April 2023 after the merger, in 2021, of the Llusar and Torres companies. The group specializes in the production and distribution of premium oranges and clementines, as well as other high-value-added products. With the entry of V- Ros, Iberian Premium Fruits will have more than 1,100 hectares of its own production between Spain and South Africa. It will also offer more than 25 varieties of oranges and clementines and market more than 120,000 tons of fruit per year. The group, which has more than 53,000 square meters of facilities distributed between Almenara, Chilches, Vilavella, and Alquerías (Castellón), forecasts a 30% growth over the previous campaign, reaching 160 million euro thanks to this new integration.

“The integration of V-Ros is part of our consolidation and growth plan, both nationally and internationally. The incorporation of its brand into IPF will bring new synergies for sales to our customers and those of V-Ros,” he stressed.

Juan Pedro Beltran, a shareholder of V-Ros, said he was very satisfied with the agreement and that “this operation would allow V-Ros to continue growing and to remain at the forefront of the sector. The synergies between the two companies are obvious.”

Anaford and Garrigues advised the buyer. On the selling side, Livingstone and Delta Asesores advised the company. “I want to thank the Livingstone team for their professionalism throughout the process. They played a key role in the success of this exciting transaction. Joining a group like Iberian Premium Fruits is an important step for the future of V-Ros."
