Connect 2 Potential, a coaching and leadership development firm serving the produce industry, is introducing an “Amplify Your Impact” workshop series designed to empower newer leaders. Led by CEO and founder, Wendy McManus, these interactive online sessions aim to equip participants with essential skills to overcome common challenges faced in early management roles.
After the transition from being successful individual contributors, newer leaders might find themselves struggling in the role of motivating and leading others. In the produce industry, and especially in smaller companies, support for new leaders may be difficult to come by. Connect 2 Potential seeks to bridge the gap by offering guidance and practical solutions.
McManus understands the struggles faced by new leaders. "I’ve worked with hundreds of leaders and many of them battle these same challenges," says McManus. "When you move into leadership, it’s hard to let go of control and shift into the role of motivator. They struggle to delegate effectively, both because delegation is its own challenge, and because they’ve been rewarded for being good at doing all the things through their entire career. They get hung up on how to gently break through another person’s defenses so they can provide meaningful feedback."
The series will tackle these top three challenges head-on, providing participants with actionable strategies and techniques. The workshops will be held on three consecutive Wednesdays, with each session focusing on a specific aspect of leadership development:
- From Micro-Manager to Motivator Workshop: Wednesday, June 14th, 2 pm ET/11 am PT
- The Art of Delegation Workshop: Wednesday, June 21st, 2 pm ET/11 am PT
- The Fearless Feedback Workshop: Wednesday, June 28th, 2 pm ET/11 am PT
For people from the produce industry and beyond, these live and interactive sessions offer an opportunity to enhance leadership skills. Attendees will have the chance to engage directly with McManus, learning from her experience in coaching leaders. They will also get to connect with and learn from other leaders who have their own experiences to share.
"The Amplify Your Impact workshops are free,” says McManus. “Unlike so many other free workshops, they are not an hour-long sales pitch disguised as a workshop! I hate it when marketers do that and I refuse to do it to the people who trust me to honor their time and provide tremendous value from what I teach."
