This series gives the average wholesale prices of bananas by country of origin. The prices are national averages of the most usual prices charged for bananas at wholesale markets in Birmingham and London. This publication is updated weekly.
The current average week prices of bananas from Ecuador came in at £0.96: which means they did not change compared to last week. The same price stood at £0.90 for bananas from Belize, down 5% compared to last week. Bananas from Colombia also came in at £0.96 / kg. Costa Rican bananas sold for the same price, while bananas from Ivory Coast cost £0.93.
