Brazilian fresh apple exports in April showed growth compared to March, which is a typical trend. However, they did not surpass the volume recorded in the same month of the previous year.
According to data from Secex, the total exported amount reached 23,000 tons. This can be attributed to the decision made by producers and classifiers to store the fruits for the upcoming semester, despite a larger harvest.

The primary destinations for Brazilian apple shipments were India, accounting for 50.8% of total exports, followed by Bangladesh with 24%, and the United Arab Emirates with 8.2%. Anticipated expectations for the following month indicate a rise in apple exports, particularly in comparison to the previous year, due to increased supply in the ongoing 2022/23 harvest.
