Online Fruit Matchmaking event 7-8 June, 2023

United Producers of Mexico focused on avocado quality

Mexico is preparing to ship an exceptionally good volume to Europe when the next avocado season starts in a couple of months. The solution for good quality avocados from Mexico is now available. Over the last several years, United Producers of Mexico, known as UPM, has developed and implemented a program for exporters to the European market to warrant good end results with better quality and better financial returns for exporters as well as importers.

Picking, packing, pre-cooling and shipping protocols are only part of the long list of activities for exporting avocados that UPM takes care of.

UPM examines and supervises the fruit quality at each and every step, so that both, shipper and receiver, can count on good quality avocados than ever before. The UPM team accompanies each export shipment with a detailed program of concrete quality measures in origin and in destination in Europe. The UPM team is on top of all aspects of pre- and post-harvest processes.

Transparency and real time communication during the entire process is key to keep control over all aspects. The UPM teams in Mexico and in Europe have more avocado experience in years than can be counted.

Block chain is also one of the activities that the UPM inspection team in Mexico works with, so the buyer can see the complete process from orchard to closing the container door.

To make quality happen, UPM only works with experienced exporters that have implemented the strict UPM protocols for avocados, mangos, berries and citrus.

For more information, UPM will be present a conference during the online Fruit Matchmaking event on June 7 and 8, 2023, where Mexican exporters and European importers meet to start preparing for the next season.
