Pacific International Lines decides to only accept prepaid freight in imports to Argentina

Effective 1st June 2023 (ship on board date), Pacific International Lines will only accept new import shipments into Argentina on a freight prepaid basis. Payments must be made at the ports of loading or at locations other than the cargo terminals in that country. Thus, the company explained that it will not be able to accept shipments with freight collect in Argentina.

According to PIL, this decision was taken because Argentina introduced new regulations which impacted the transfer of international currencies out of the country.
