Irritec, one of the global leaders in the precision irrigation sector, will be among the protagonists of the 40th edition of Macfrut. The international event that will take place at the Rimini Expo Centre between May 3rd and 5th, will be an occasion to showcase the latest innovations, the high technology of driplines and all the new drip irrigation systems manufactured by the company.
This year, the international congress will be dedicated to blueberries and Irritec will have the occasion to showcase its experience within the International Blueberry Days, of which it is the sole sponsor when it comes to the irrigation sector: it will be an occasion for top technical and scientific experts to discuss market trends and production together with leading global players and to visit the Blueberry On Field dynamic area.

The importance of micro-irrigation for blueberries
Cash crops such as blueberries require the monitoring of all agronomic factors and boast particular water needs that make drip irrigation and fertigation the perfect solutions. The swift administration of water and nutritional elements with a high frequency enables the optimization of supplies and the reduction of waste. Irritec supports the chain and this specific crop with complete and increasingly-efficient irrigation systems, working alongside companies towards a transformation and digitization process that helps improve yields and the precision of interventions and reduce environmental impact.

Irritec and its team of consultants and qualified agronomists will have an exhibition space inside Hall A1 at the Expo Centre in Rimini, where an entire dynamic crop dedicated to blueberries will be set up. Agronomists will showcase how Irritec solutions work, especially when it comes to fertigation. In addition, they will answer the questions of producers and study the best solutions for their crops. It will also be possible to meet up with two companies from Romagna that have chosen Irritec as a partner.

The Irritec team will also be present in the ANBI area together with other actors of the chain as well as in the dynamic field dedicated to the nursery sector in Hall C1, where the advantages of drip cultivation of in-soil, soilless and protected crops will be showcased. Irrigation systems for blueberry crops in fact include self-compensating drip lines with anti-drip and anti-suction devices and distribution systems in substrates that guarantee homogenous supplies. The beating heart of the system is the fertigator (Shaker set type), which was purposely studied to manage nutrient solutions based on the various botanical essences and changing phenological needs.
